Steuart Optics opens SL's first AI-based eyewear showroom

Steuart Optics recently opened the first retail outlet in Sri Lanka to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered eye examinations. The new outlet is located on the first floor of Liberty Plaza, Colombo.

This revolutionary technology, developed by the renowned European company Adaptica, provides a faster, more accurate, and more personalised eye exam experience.

Steuart Optics' journey began with a vision to revolutionise the eyewear industry and elevate it from mere necessity to an expression of personal style and a symbol of clear vision.

Over the years, it has crafted its expertise, curating a collection of eyewear that transcends mere functionality.

Moreover, the AI-powered eye examinations utilise advanced algorithms to analyse retinal images, detecting subtle abnormalities that may not be visible to the human eye. This technology not only enhances the accuracy of the diagnoses but also allows to detect potential eye conditions early on, enabling timely intervention and treatment.

Sri Lanka Optometric Association Chairman Consultant Optometrist Hiran Perera declared the showroom open, with Steuart Optics Chairman Dilith Jayaweera and Directors Sarva Amarasekera, Eran Ranasinghe, Sanjiva Wijesekera, Thulitha Jayasooriya, and Thushantha Nakandala in attendance.
